Ullman: "This was entitled "Crossfade" for a while because it was intended to be that, haha. A connecting thread between Monolith and another song we never finished recording, another really great riff Jason had stored away. But this was mainly my vision of hell hahaha. Coolest thing I remember was Jason and I bashing chairs against the cement floors to create a neat stomping effect. I was (am) really into NIN: The Fragile and they had used a lot of authentic sounds for percussion. So we tried!"
